Everyone always told me that I was amazing and natural with kids, but I never really believe them; I thought they were crazy. I had always loved kids of all ages, but I never thought that I would one day be pursuing a career in education. There have been a lot of great teachers in my life, but I never thought that I would one day be following in their footsteps. For the longest time I wanted to be a professional musician, a passion of mine, but God had other plans for me. One day, I decided to apply to work at a Christian summer camp, called Pine Valley Bible Camp. It was there that I would find my true calling to pursue a career in education. Over the past 3 summers (and counting), I have continued my love and passion of working with kids. I have changed, learned, and matured over those 3 summers; my journey has now lead me to Grove City college.

Why do I want to teach Middle Level? |
I love kids of all ages, but I have always had a special love for kids in grades 4-8, specifically 5th grade. One of my favorite teachers was my 5th grade math and social studies teachers. She was a true teacher of impact, and I can only hope to be like her one day. Middle level is one of the coolest ages! While everyone says, "Ooh! Middle schoolers!", I scream, "YES! Middle schoolers!". Middle level contains some of the coolest kids. They really want to learn and have a special energy that is not found in other levels; they really love to discover, create, explore, and their imaginations are amazing, too. It is something about their energy that really draws me to them because I can have energy and enthusiasm with them!
